Thank you to all that attended and volunteered at our Gala event, Live at the Palm Gardens.  I want to especially thank the volunteers from the West Allis Knights of Columbus who made time during the busy Easter weekend to come and provide the games. Additionally, thanks to all that volunteered to make the event run smoothly.  I also wanted to thank our dinner time lounge singers and Vegas show girls who volunteered their time and talent to add entertainment to our event.  Finally, thank you to all of our businesses that donated time, goods and attended.  We hope that you had as much fun as we did! 2008 marks 50 years for our Chamber! This year's Gala celebration was a warm-up for our 2008 50th anniversary as a Chamber of Commerce.  We are already beginning to plan a wonderful event that will celebrate our 50 years as well as recognize those businesses that have made our community a great place to live, work and play.  We are looking to you, our members, tell us about your company's involvement.  Give us your memories and stories.  Do you have an employee or past employee that made a real difference in the community?  Do you have historically significant photographs or documents that we should display to our members?  We need your help and input. Congratulations to Bill Duewell, National Sign & Design for winning our Small Business Times Expo Booth Contest! Recently, the Chamber and Small Business Times forged a strategic partnership that will benefit our business community!  To kick-off the partnership, the Small Business Times and our Chamber held a contest for a free booth ($1500.00 value!) at the May 2-3 Small Business Times Expo.  I am pleased to say that we had seven strong applications that made it difficult to choose a winner.  Congratulations to National Sign & Design, located at 11082 W. National Avenue for winning the booth.  I want to thank and acknowledge our other applicants Identity Promotions, LLC., Entrust America, Staff One, Ltd, Princeton Club New Berlin, West Allis Heating & Air Conditioning and Oniomania.  I wish we could have awarded all.  Thanks also to the Small Business Times -- we appreciate your support and look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership. Register now for our Caribbean Golf Classic and Cruise! Don't wait too long to register for our fun-filled Golf and Cruise event as we expect it to fill fast!  For you golfers, you will get the royal treatment -- with some surprises of course!  For our non-golfers, come relax  on a luxury cruise, but beware of pirates!  Last year's event was so much fun that our sponsorships are going fast -- Thanks to Hub Chrysler Jeep South for sponsoring our Dinner, MidAmerica Bank for sponsoring the lunch, and Creative Graphics for printing our awesome invitations!  We still have advantageous sponsorships available -- but don't wait too long!  I look forward to providing you and your guests with a great event!    We want your stories!
