We are Interested in Education...

The Chamber and the West Allis - West Milwaukee School District have much to offer each other.  The Chamber provides real world business expertise and the resources while the schools furnish our businesses with prospective employees.

The Foundation is working to ensure students are
prepared for life-long learning…

In 1990 the Chamber Education Foundation was incorporated by the State of Wisconsin. The West Allis Education Foundation partners with business and the educational community to raise charitable dollars through direct contributions and distribute these resources to support programs which nurture, enhance, and provide a quality learning experience for students in the West Allis - West Milwaukee community.

How The Education Foundation Works

The Foundation partners with businesses and the educational community to promote programs that offer applied business and vocational experiences.  The Foundation targets learning experiences which strengthen opportunities for students to gain employment skills or advancement into higher education, either college or vocational/technical training.

The Foundation is interested in programs which augment or provide more “hands on” learning experiences.

Examples of these are:

· Mentoring Partnerships

· Project Lead the Way

· Crystal Apple Awards

· Innovative School Grants

· Small Business Grants

· Higher Education Grants

                                                                                                            James E. Dottke High School
                                                                                                           Farmers Market Grant Project

 How does the Community Benefit?

· Work to meet employer needs

· Improve the quality of the West Allis - West Milwaukee employee pool

· Expose students to jobs of the future.

· Education Foundation Grants (These are competitive grants awarded to deserving classes          or activities based on innovation, effectiveness, and integration into the community.)

· Crystal Apple Awards recognize creative programs which enrich our community.
