The West Allis / West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce, through its Education Foundation Committee, offers a limited number of grants (up to $300.00 each) for the furtherance of an employee's job related knowledge and/or skills.
The purpose of this grant is to help businesses and their employees pursue educational training related to their specific job and/or profession. Grants particularly target companies and individuals having limited financial resources for employee training.
To qualify for such a grant, the following requirements must be met:
- The applicant must be an employee of a West Allis / West Milwaukee business that is a member of the West Allis / West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce.
- The educational benefit offered must be related to the applicant's vocation to improve his/her job performance.
- Approval of such a grant must be for a specific educational benefit made possible through seminars, conferences, educational workshops, classes, or similar types of presentations. This application must be received four weeks prior to the event.
