Feedback from members, area YPs will help dictate new direction

In order to better serve its members and to sharpen its focus as an organization, YPSM is taking a hiatus from its usual schedule of events to undertake a research and survey process. This process is designed to gain information that can help YPSM guide its direction and decision-making leading up to an organizational relaunch in January 2008. Members, local businesses and their employees will receive an online survey meant to assist YPSM in determining how best to structure its mission, operations and activities. As part of this survey, these businesses will be eligible for a Best Place to Work in the Suburbs award, given in responses to a set of survey questions. YPSM will continue to meet as a board, publish this newsletter and have informal events during its hiatus. These events will take place on the group's usual third Tuesday of the month. No formal networking, no admission fees, no strings attached. Totally FREE, totally fun! Join YPSM: Sept. 18, 5:30 p.m. - Forty8, 4823 W. National Ave., West Milwaukee; Oct. 16, 5:30 p.m. - Gasthaus, 2720 N. Grandview Blvd., Waukesha. Because YPSM is committed to doing everything it can to serve both its membership and suburban young professionals at large, they ask for cooperation and input as they plan around the survey results.
