New exercise program for those with physical limitations
Pain? Fibromyalgia? Arthritis? People with physical limitations can experience a new fitness program at the Aurora Women's Pavilion - ROMP (Range of Motion and Postural program). This is a comprehensive exercise session geared toward clientele with range of motion limitations. ROMP is a specific workout program where participants perform the movement with the help of a chair. The workout is designed to improve limitations of range of motion and stiffness in joints and surrounding muscles, postural alignment and to continue recovery from musculoskeletal injuries or surgery. ROMP also includes specific exercises appropriate for persons with fibromyalgia and arthritis.
ROMP was founded and is directed by Ana C. Docta, ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Personal Trainer, AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association) Group and Personal Trainer, Arthritis Foundation Coach, Red Cross, Yoga and Pilates Certified. Previous professional ballerina with strong expertise in biomechanics, currently working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and personally dealing with real life injuries and surgeries.
For questions regarding the ROMP program, please call Jeanne Clark at (414) 328-7405.
