Member Services Committee, Gala Committee, YPSM Vice-Chair, YPSM Event Committee Alisa has been the Editor of This Week! Publications since August of 2000.  She started as a graphic designer and was promoted after three weeks. She writes advertorial and editorial copy, copyedits, takes photos, interviews clients and designs layouts. Alisa also writes feature stories and designs special sections for Community Newspapers. She loves her career and enjoys the many perks of her position. Alisa has been a member of the Chamber since 2000; and has been active with the Chamber since 2002 when she became Ms. Western Days. Alisa joined the Member Services committee in 2003 and that volunteer opportunity led her to be appointed Ms. Chamber in 2004. That year Alisa also joined the Gala and Community Night committees. She recently joined the board of YPSM and is excited to be a part of this dynamic new organization. Alisa commented, "I have volunteered for other organizations and find that the Chamber is more professional, personable and welcoming. The volunteers, like myself, are passionate and dedicated to the community, and we put in over 100% to make sure that the events we coordinate - like the Gala and Holiday Fundraiser - are enjoyed by all. It is especially pleasing to see all of our hard work come to fruition at these events." "I have met so many caring, charismatic people through the Chamber. It's a fantastic networking opportunity as well. Many Chamber members are clients of mine, and I have been referred to new clients through word of mouth from Chamber members." When asked about a fun Chamber memory, Alisa discussed the 2004 Golf Outing. "It was 44 degrees...in mid-August. After being outside in the cold and wind for five hours, Pam Zorko and I decided to go to Potawatomi - where I won over $300 playing craps. It was my reward for braving the cold in high heel sandals and no coat!" "Not only have I made fabulous friends and business connections through the Chamber, I have found love as well! My boyfriend is Jon Armstrong from TDS Metrocom. We met at the 2005 Golf Outing, and have been 'networking' ever since."
