Education Foundation Offers Business Grants

The West Allis/West Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce through its Education Foundation offers a limited number of grants up to $300.00 each for the furtherance of an employee's job related knowledge and/or skills.  The purpose of this grant is to help businesses and their employees pursue educational training related to their specific job and/or profession particularly with companies and individuals having limited financial resources for employee training. To qualify for such a grant, the following requirements must be met: Applicant must be an employee of a West Allis/West Milwaukee Chamber business member. The educational opportunity for which funding is sought must relate to the applicant's job duties/responsibilities. Applicant must submit a letter from applicant's supervisor requesting funding and briefly state the benefits that will be realized. The educational opportunity for which applicant requests funding must be through classes, seminars, conferences, educational workshops, or similar types of presentations.  Applicant must submit a copy of the program description.  This application must be received four weeks prior to the event.
