Finalists for the 8th Annual Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) have been announced, and the WA/WM Chamber's Business of the Year 2007, P&H Mining, is a finalist for the “Vision Award.” This award is given to a foundation or for-profit corporation that has shown strong commitment and leadership in transforming our community. These organizations have demonstrated a pattern of meaningful financial contributions or in-kind support to community development efforts, while acting as models for other investors. P&H Mining was nominated for supporting the Silver City Main Street effort through cash and in-kind services and for demonstrating a corporate culture of generosity through outstanding employee volunteerism and financial support for numerous other neighborhood-based causes such as the Hank Aaron State Trail and Rebuilding Together of Greater Milwaukee.
